Sequence of Operations | Roll Change Recirculation System - On |
When the Operator starts the Recirculation System, Electric Motor 603 starts, powering Pump 011.01.
1) Hydraulic fluid from the reservoir flows through Shutoff Valve 078.08 into the inlet port of the pump. Pressurized fluid delivered by the pump flows through a piping assembly which houses Heater 018.01 then through Heat Exchanger 025.01. Next, the fluid flows through Check Valve 118.01 and Duplex Return Line Filter 048.01 and then back to tank.
2) Based on the temperature of the hydraulic fluid, the heater may be energized to provide heating of the fluid, or Water Control Valve 031.01 may be energized to deliver cooling water to the heat exchanger to provide cooling for the fluid.
3) An integral pressure relief valve in the pump protects the pump from overpressure. Shutoff Valve 078.08 is equipped with a limit switch to prevent the electric motor from starting, protecting the pump from cavitation if the shutoff valve is not fully open.
